What is PrestoRegister?

PrestoRegister is a secure online registration form and registration information management system.  PrestoRegister allows you to easily setup and maintain a secure online registration form without any programming knowledge.  You simply link your hosted registration form to your web site or e-mail campaign to register attendees for your events.  PrestoRegister's registration information management system securely captures and stores your attendees' registration information for you.  Back to top.

How does PrestoRegister differ from traditional event registration software?

The biggest difference is the ease-of-use for both you and your attendees.  PrestoRegister uses a traditional order form approach in capturing your registrations. Can I create multiple registration forms?

Processing Registrations

How does PrestoRegister work with my existing web site?

PrestoRegister is compatible with any web site.  Once you purchase and activate your demo registration form, you are given a single link to it.  Simply place this link on your web site wherever you want your visitors to be able to register for your event.  When your visitors click this link at your web site, they are sent to our secure servers for the duration of the registration process.  Once the registration process is complete, we send your registered attendees back to your web site.  Back to top.

How do I receive registration information?

Each time a registration is captured, you and your attendees are sent an e-mail confirming the registration.  You can login to your account at PrestoRegister at anytime to securely and privately retrieve complete registration information.  Back to top.

Does PrestoRegister store my attendee registration information for me?

Yes, once you establish your PrestoRegister account, you are given a username and password so you can privately view your registration information at anytime and as often as needed.  Your registration information is stored in our system for one full year past each registration's capture date.  Back to top.

Can PrestoRegister capture additional registration and attendee information (such as nametag information, workshop choice, lunch preferences, etc.) that I need from each of my attendees?

PrestoRegister allows you to establish any number of "registration information fields" and "attendee information fields" that are posed to your attendees based on the events they are about to register for.  These fields allow you to capture and store the additional information that you need from each of your attendees (examples: "Nametag name", "Lunch Preference", "Workshop Choice", etc.).

You can establish long or short "fill in the blank" style fields or have your attendees select their answer from a "dropdown" style field.  Back to top.

Can I download my registration information to a spreadsheet or file?

Yes, PrestoRegister allows you to download your registration data to a "comma delimited file".  This file type can be easily uploaded to any spreadsheet software, database program - even most word processing programs.  Back to top.

Processing Payments

How do I collect payments from my attendees?

You are ultimately responsible for collecting payments from your attendees, but PrestoRegister supports most options depending on what your business accepts.  PrestoRegister can connect to or provide secure processing methods for a variety of payment methods including: credit/debit cards, mailed checks and/or money orders, electronic checking debits, or PayPal.  If you currently accept credit cards using a credit card merchant account, PrestoRegister can be used with the "Internet payment gateway" provided by your existing merchant account at no additional fee.

I want to accept credit cards online, what do I need to do?

A "credit card merchant account" with an "Internet payment gateway" is required to process payments made by credit/debit card.  You can choose to apply for a new credit card merchant account through PrestoRegister when you purchase our service.  By obtaining your merchant account through PrestoRegister, we do all the technical work of integrating your new merchant account to PrestoRegister.  This way, your attendees' credit/debit cards are automatically charged in real-time, online.

How can I integrate my existing credit card merchant account to PrestoRegister for real-time, online transactions?

Payment transactions are automatically sent to your merchant account by PrestoRegister in real-time using an "Internet payment gateway" that is installed on your existing merchant account.  PrestoRegister supports several of the major Internet payment gateways at no additional fee.

I don't want to charge a fee to my attendees to register.  Can I still use PrestoRegister?

Yes, charging fees is completely optional with PrestoRegister.  PrestoRegister allows you to "turn off" all references to event fees, payment methods, etc.  If you choose this option, our service simply captures your attendees' registration information without calculating or processing any payment from them.  Back to top.

Can a volume pricing schedule be setup to apply a multiple attendee discount?

Yes, you can setup a separate "volume pricing schedule" for each event on your registration form.  This way, you can charge less per attendee if a single contact registers multiple attendees.  Back to top.

Can sales tax be added to each registration?

Yes, PrestoRegister allows you to setup sales tax for any number of "deliver-to" states that you need.  Back to top.

Can I sell additional products or services from my PrestoRegistration form?

Yes, you can include any number of additional products or services on your registration form to sell or distribute to your attendees.  This allows you to distribute or charge a fee for additional materials needed to attend your events, or to sell related products and services - anything you want to promote from your registration form.  

If you have several products or services to sell from your web site that are unrelated to your event offerings, you may be better suited using one or more of the additional services we provide.  "PrestoSell" focuses on selling products and services from your web site while "PrestoStore" creates and hosts an online product catalog for you.

Can shipping and handling fees be added to each product or service order?

Yes, PrestoRegister allows you to setup shipping and handling fees by product ordered, quantity ordered, by order dollar total, by order total weight and/or by custom delivery method.  Back to top.

Can I setup multiple "promotion codes" to extend discounts to certain attendees?

Yes, PrestoRegister allows you to create an unlimited number of "promotion codes" that apply either a percent or flat dollar discount to a registration fee's subtotal.  You can communicate these codes to certain attendees to extend a discount to them.  Back to top.

Is PrestoRegister secure?

Absolutely. We take Internet security and data privacy very seriously as it is a cornerstone of our business. We can assure you that all information captured and stored on our servers is safe, secure and accessible only by you.

PrestoRegister securely captures and stores your attendee registration information using the safest Internet technology available: SSL - Secure Socket Layer. The SSL protocol is the web standard for encrypting communications between users and web sites. Data sent via a SSL connection is protected by "encryption", a mechanism that prevents eavesdropping and tampering with any transmitted data. SSL provides businesses and consumers with the confidence that private data sent to a website, such as credit card numbers, are kept confidential.

By using a PrestoRegister registration form, you can be assured that your attendee registration information is kept safe. Your attendees will see your registration form automatically switch to a secure SSL connection after they select an event from the initial screen and click "Continue". Your attendees' browsers will display the secure connection "lock" and depending on the settings in their browsers they may see a message box that states "You are entering a secure connection."

Likewise, when you log into the PrestoRegister system to retrieve registration information, your browser will establish a secure connection with our server. You must login to our system using your username and password, defined and controlled only by you. All attendee registration information that you view in PrestoRegister will be completely secure from interception or unauthorized access.

Finally, we incorporate the latest technologies in IDS (Intrusion Detection System) to monitor and protect our networks against malicious attacks and viruses. In addition, our shared hosting servers are protected behind internal firewalls and monitoring software.  Back to top.

Is my attendees' registration information kept private?

Absolutely.  We treat all the information that PrestoRegister captures as property of our clients.  We do not use any individual identifiable information captured and stored for our clients using PrestoRegister in anyway.  This is a serious issue for us - we would never want to erode our relationship with you by selling or using what we consider to be your property.  Back to top.

How does PrestoRegister bill me?

If you choose to subscribe to PrestoRegister on a monthly basis, your monthly fee is automatically billed to your credit/debit card each month on the anniversary of your start date, until you cancel.  You can cancel at anytime prior to your next month's bill date and you will no longer be billed.

If you choose to subscribe to PrestoRegister on a yearly basis, you are billed for an entire year up-front (at a discount).  In a year's time, you'll be contacted with an option to continue PrestoRegister on a monthly or yearly basis.  Back to top.
